Front Seat Assembly: Removal

HINT:

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  2. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

    1. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disable the Autoaway/Return function by changing the customize parameter (See CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS ).
      NOTE: Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the Autoaway/Return function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation.

      HINT:

      Performing the above operation causes the Autoaway/Return function to be disabled when the engine switch is turned off.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully retract and tilt up the steering column assembly.
    3. Turn the engine switch off.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts.
    5. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.

    6. Remove the 2 bolts.
    7. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) and move the seat to the center position, and operate the power seat switch (reclining switch) and move the seatback to the upright position.
    8. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    9. Disconnect the connectors under the seat.
    10. Remove the front seat assembly.
      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
