Front Seat Assembly: Reassembly

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT:

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH 
  2. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (Front Passenger Side)  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the claw to install the seat heater control.
    2. Attach the clamp and connect the seat heater control connector.

  5. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH 
    1. Attach the hook to install the lower cushion shield.
    2. Install the screw.
  6. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Attach the hook to install the lower cushion shield.
    2. Install the screw.

  7. INSTALL UPPER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT 
    1. Install the upper active headrest unit to the lower active headrest unit with the cable clamp and nut.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)

  8. INSTALL LOWER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT 
    1. Install the lower active headrest unit together with the upper active headrest unit with the 8 nuts.

      Torque: Upper active headrest unit 

      14 N*m (143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) 

      Lower active headrest unit 

      5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)

  9. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (Driver Side) 
    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the bush.

    2. Install the lumbar support adjuster with the 2 screws.
    3. Connect the lumbar support adjuster connector.

    4. Attach the 4 hooks to install the seatback spring.
    5. Install the 4 springs.

  10. INSTALL OUTSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER RH 
    1. Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster cover.
    2. Install the screw.

    2. Install the screw.

  12. INSTALL INSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER RH 
    1. Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster cover.
    2. Install the 2 screws.
    3. Attach the wire harness clamp.

    1. Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster cover.
    2. Install the 2 screws.
    3. Attach the wire harness clamp.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Set the seatback heater with the name stamp side facing the seatback cover.
    2. Install the seatback heater with new tack pins.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Attach the fastening tape to install the seatback cover.
    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover with new hog rings.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the cover.
      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

    3. Connect the seatback cover bracket to the seatback pad.
  16. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Install the seatback cover with pad to the seatback frame.

    2. Install the seatback cover bracket to the seat frame with the nut.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

      CAUTION: After the seatback trim cover is assembled, make sure the side airbag strap is not twisted.

    3. Attach the 9 hooks.
    4. Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings to the seat frame.
  17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Move the seatback board in the direction of the arrow to attach the 2 hooks and install the seatback board.
    2. Install the 2 screws.
  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH 
    NOTE:
    • As the front passenger side seat has an occupant classification system, its front seat cushion cannot be disassembled.
    • If replacing the front passenger side seat, replace the seat set (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts).

    1. Set the seat cushion heater with the name stamp side facing the seat cushion cover.
    2. Install the seat cushion heater with new tack pins.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    NOTE:
    • As the front passenger side seat has an occupant classification system, its front seat cushion cannot be disassembled.
    • If replacing the front passenger side seat, replace the seat set (cushion set, occupant detection sensor, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts).
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the cover.
      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  21. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.
    2. Bend the 2 seat frame claws downward.

    3. Connect the seat heater control connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    4. Connect the seat heater connector and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    5. Install the 2 clips.

  22. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 
    1. Install the switch with the 3 screws.
    2. for Driver Side: Connect the 2 connectors.
    3. for Front Passenger Side: Connect the connector.

  23. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Attach the 2 claws and clip to install the cushion shield.
    2. Install the screw.
  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION )

  25. INSTALL LUMBAR SWITCH (Driver Side) 
    1. Install the power seat lumbar switch with the 2 screws.

  26. INSTALL FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Attach the claw to install the cushion shield.
    2. Install the screw.

  27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. for Driver Side:

      Connect the lumbar switch connectors.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the cushion shield.
    3. Install the 3 screws.

    4. Install the 2 screws.
    5. Attach the 2 rubber bands to the hooks.

  28. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the knob.

  29. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the knob.
