General Maintenance

HINT:

Inspect these items on a cooled down engine.

1. INSPECT DRIVE BELT  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
2. REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER 
   1. Replace the engine oil and oil filter (See REPLACEMENT ).
3. INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
4. REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT 
   1. Replace the engine coolant (See REPLACEMENT ).
5. INSPECT EXHAUST PIPES AND MOUNTINGS 
   1. Visually check the pipes, hangers and connections for severe corrosion, leaks or damage.
6. INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER 
   1. Remove the air cleaner filter.
   2. Visually check that the air cleaner filter is not excessively damaged or oily.
   3. Replace the air cleaner filter with a new one, if necessary.
7. INSPECT FUEL LINES, FUEL LINE CONNECTIONS, FUEL TANK VAPOR VENT SYSTEM HOSES AND FUEL TANK BAND 
   1. Visually check the fuel lines and hoses for cracks, leakage, loose connections and deformation. Also, visually check the tank band for looseness.
8. INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP GASKET  (See INSPECTION )
9. INSPECT SPARK PLUGS  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
