Engine Cooling System: Radiator: Installation

  1. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE INLET

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE NO. 2

  3. INSTALL OIL COOLER HOSE

  4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the radiator with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf)

    2. Connect the 2 oil cooler hoses (w/ automatic transmission).

    3. Install the 2 radiator hoses.

  5. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL FAN SHROUD 
    1. Temporarily install the fan shroud together with the fluid coupling assembly with fan.
    2. Temporarily install the fluid coupling assembly with fan with the 4 nuts.
    3. Install the fan and generator V belt. (See INSTALLATION )
    4. Install the fan pulley with the 4 nuts.

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)

    5. Install the bolt to the reserve tank.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

    6. Install the fan shroud with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)

    7. Install the bolt to the reserve tank.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

    8. Connect the 2 oil cooler hoses with the 2 clamps (w/ automatic transmission).
    9. Connect the hose to the radiator reserve tank.

  7. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL UPPER 
    1. Engage the 7 clips, then install the radiator support seal.

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 3.9 N*m (40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  9. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  (See COOLANT  )
  10. CHECK ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE  (See COOLING SYSTEM  )
  11. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  12. INSTALL V-BANK COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
