Rear Coil Spring: Installation
- INSTALL REAR COIL SPRING
- Install the coil spring to the rear axle housing.
HINT:
Fit the lower end of the coil spring into the gap of the spring lower seat.
- Install the coil spring to the rear axle housing.
- TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
- Install the shock absorber and temporarily tighten the bolt.
- STABILIZE SUSPENSION
- Jack down the vehicle.
- Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.
- FULLY TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
- Fully tighten the bolt.
Torque: 98 N*m (1, 000 kgf*cm, 72 ft.*lbf)
- Fully tighten the bolt.
- INSTALL REAR BRAKE TUBE FLEXIBLE HOSE
- Install the 2 flexible hoses with 2 new clips.
- Using a union nut wrench, install the 2 brake tubes onto the flexible hose.
Torque:
without union nut wrench
15 N*m (154 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)
with union nut wrench
14 N*m (143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:- This torque value can be obtained by using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.) and a union nut wrench with a fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.886 in.) (See REPAIR INSTRUCTION ).
- This torque value is effective when union nut wrench is parallel to a torque wrench.
- FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID (See BRAKE FLUID )
- BLEED BRAKE LINE (See BRAKE FLUID )
- CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR (See BLEEDING )
- CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
- INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 112 N*m (1, 137 kgf*cm, 82 ft.*lbf)
