Heating / Air Conditioning: Condenser: Removal

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM  (See REPLACEMENT )
  2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 2AZ-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  5. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the condenser.
    2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  6. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioning tube assembly from the condenser.
    2. Remove the O-ring from the air conditioning tube assembly.
      NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
  7. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2ZR-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2AZ-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  9. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )

  10. SEPARATE WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2ZR-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  11. SEPARATE WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2AZ-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  14. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  15. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  16. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD (for 2ZR-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  17. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD (for 2AZ-FE)  (See REMOVAL )
  18. REMOVE CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH RECEIVER 
    1. Remove the condenser assembly with receiver as shown in the illustration.
