Inspection Procedure

HINT:

• DTC P2610 is set if an internal ECM problem is detected. Diagnostic procedures are not required. ECM replacement is required.
• Read freeze frame data using the Techstream. Freeze frame data record the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data, from the time the malfunction occurred:

1. REPLACE ECM 
2. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS 
   1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
   2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
   3. Clear DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
   4. Start the engine and wait for 10 minutes or more.
   5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes / Pending.
   6. If no pending DTC is displayed, the repair has been successfully completed.
