Engine Control System (2UZ-FE) - Component And System Testing, On-Vehicle Inspection, Removal, Inspection And Installation: ECM: Installation
- INSTALL GASKET
- Clean the ECM seal's surface with non-residue solvent.
- Attach a new gasket to the ECM.
- INSTALL ECM
- Install the ECM with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Connect the 2 ECM connectors and push each lock lever down to lock the 2 ECM connectors.NOTE:
- Make sure that the lock lever is raised 90° before connecting the ECM connectors. Failure to do this may cause the lock lever and terminals to break.
- Do not twist the wire harness when connecting the ECM connectors.
- Connect the wire harness clamp.
- Install the ECM with the 4 bolts.
- INSTALL CONNECTOR HOLDER BLOCK
- Install the connector holder block with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 7.3 N*m (74 kgf*cm, 65 in.*lbf)
- Install the connector holder block with the 3 bolts.
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
- Install the air cleaner assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
- Connect the mass air flow meter connector and clamp.
- Install the air cleaner assembly with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization procedures (See INITIALIZATION ).
