Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      B2311 is output B
      B2312 is output C
      B2313 is output D
      LIN communication system DTCs are output E

    B: GO TO DTC (B2311)  (See DTC B2311 POWER WINDOW MOTOR MALFUNCTION  )

    C: GO TO DTC (B2312)  (See DTC B2312 POWER WINDOW SWITCH MALFUNCTION  )

    D: GO TO DTC (B2313)  (See DTC B2313 GLASS POSITION INITIALIZATION INCOMPLETE  )

    D: GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the power window regulator switch can operate the front passenger side door power window (See OPERATION CHECK  ).

      OK: Manual UP/DOWN function operates. 

    NG: GO TO FLOW CHART (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT)  (See FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW DOES NOT OPERATE WITH FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH  )

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / P-Door Motor / Data List.
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

      P-Door Motor 

      P-DOOR MOTOR REFERENCE CHART

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      P Door P/W Auto SW Front passenger side power window auto UP/DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Front passenger side power window auto UP/DOWN switch operated
      OFF: Front passenger side power window switch not operated
      -

      OK: The Techstream display changes when front passenger side power window switch is operated. 

    NG: Go to step 4 

    OK: REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL  )

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER WINDOW SWITCH RH - FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR RH) 
    1. Disconnect the L2 front power window regulator switch assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the L3 front power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L2-8 (AUTO) - L3-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 Ω
      L2-8 (AUTO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Reconnect the front power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
    5. Reconnect the front power window regulator switch assembly RH connector

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the I3 front power window regulator switch assembly RH (See REMOVAL  ).
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      8 (AUTO) - 1 (GND) AUTO UP/DOWN operation Below 1 Ω
    3. Reinstall the front power window regulator switch assembly RH.

    NG: REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL  )

    OK: REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL  )
