Inspection Procedure

  1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR) 
    1. Initialize the back door power window regulator motor (See INITIALIZATION  ).
  2. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
    2. Check for DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      OK: DTC is not output. 

    NG: Go to step 3 

    OK: END 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR ECU - BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the V3 back door ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the V4 back door power window regulator motor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V3-12 (DSV) - V4-4 (SSRB) Always Below 1 Ω
      V3-13 (DS1) - V4-3 (PLS1) Always Below 1 Ω
      V3-14 (DS2) - V4-5 (PLS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      V3-23 (DSG) - V4-6 (LMTE) Always Below 1 Ω
      V3-12 (DSV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V3-13 (DS1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V3-14 (DS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V3-23 (DSG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Reconnect the back door power window regulator motor connector.
    5. Reconnect the back door ECU connector.

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. REPLACE BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR 
    1. Replace back door power window regulator motor (See DISASSEMBLY ).
  5. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
    2. Check for DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      OK: DTC is not output. 

    NG: REPLACE BACK DOOR ECU  (See DISASSEMBLY )

    OK: END
