Power Window Master Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the resistance of the power switch.

      Standard resistance: 

      for Front driver switch 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Power Window Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H2-1 (E) - H2-4 (A) - H2-8 (U)
      H2-5 (D) - H2-6 (B)
      AUTO UP Below 1 Ω
      H2-1 (E) - H2-8 (U)
      H2-5 (D) - H2-6 (B)
      UP Below 1 Ω
      H2-5 (D) - H2-6 (B) - H2-8 (U) OFF Below 1 Ω
      H2-1 (E) - H2-5 (D)
      H2-6 (B) - H2-8 (U)
      DOWN Below 1 Ω
      H2-1 (E) - H2-4 (A) - H2-5 (D)
      H2-6 (B) - H2-8 (U)
      AUTO DOWN Below 1 Ω

      for Front passenger switch

      H2-16 (U) - H2-15 (D) ON OFF Below 1 Ω
      H2-1 (E) - H2-16 (U) ON DOWN 10 kΩ or higher
      H2-6 (B) - H2-15 (D) Below 1 Ω

      for Rear LH switch 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      OFF DOWN Below 1 Ω

      H2-12 (U) - H2-13 (D) ON OFF Below 1 Ω

      for Rear RH switch

      OFF DOWN Below 1 Ω
      H2-1 (E) - H2-18 (D) ON UP 10 kΩ or higher
      H2-6 (B) - H2-10 (U) Below 1 Ω
      H2-10 (U) - H2-18 (D) ON OFF Below 1 Ω
      H2-1 (E) - H2-10 (U) ON DOWN 10 kΩ or higher
      H2-6 (B) - H2-18 (D) Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the master switch and check that the AUTO light illuminates.

      OK 

      BATTERY VOLTAGE SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (LED)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (E)
      AUTO light illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
