Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the ABS and TRACTION actuator, perform the zero point calibration (see CALIBRATION  ).
  1. INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

      Result 

      DTC RESULT DESCRIPTION

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    B: REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    A: Go to next step. 

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY TECHSTREAM (VSC WARNING LIGHT) 
    1. Select the Active Test, generate a control command, and then check that the VSC warning light operates.

      ABS/VSC/TRAC: 

      CONTROL RANGE AND DIAGNOSTIC NOTE

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      VSC Warning Lamp VSC warning light Warning light ON / OFF Observe combination meter

      OK: The VSC warning light turns on or off. 

    OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 

    NG: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the combination meter (see HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).

    NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
