Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

      Result 

      DTC RESULT DESCRIPTION

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

      OK: The connector is securely connected. 

    B: REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    A: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR 
    1. Check if the skid control ECU connector is securely connected.

      OK: The connector is securely connected. 

    NG: CONNECTOR CORRECTLY 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A19 ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A19-43 (CSW) - Body ground AUTO LSD switch is not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      A19-43 (CSW) - Body ground AUTO LSD switch is pushed Below 1Ω

    OK: Go to step  6

    NG: Go to next step. 

  4. INSPECT AUTO LSD SWITCH 
    1. Remove the auto LSD switch.

    3. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 6 Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 6 Pushed Below 1Ω

    NG: REPLACE TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU - TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the A19 ECU connector.

    3. Disconnect the E51 switch connector.
    4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      A19-43 (CSW) - E51-6 Below 1 Ω
      E51-3 - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      A19-43 (CSW) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  6. CHECK COMBINATION METER 
    1. Check the combination meter (see HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).

    NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
