On-Vehicle Inspection

HINT:

• Do not remove the brake pedal load sensing switch from the brake pedal support.
• When there is a malfunction in the brake pedal load sensing switch, replace the brake pedal support.

1. Disconnect the brake pedal load sensing switch connector.

2. Measure the resistance of the switch.

   Standard resistance 

   TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   1 - 2	Brake pedal depressed	Approx. 1 kΩ
   1 - 2	Brake pedal released	Approx. 213 Ω

   If the value is not as specified, replace the brake pedal support assembly (see DISASSEMBLY ).
