Overload Reverse Operation

The sliding roof control ECU detects jams by foreign material in the sliding roof, if they occur, by noticing abnormal motor speed signals, and subsequently reverses the sliding roof operation.

If the battery terminal or fuse is disconnected, the roof position has to be reset to its initial position by the sliding roof control switch in accordance with the following procedure:

1. Reconnect the battery terminal or fuse.
2. Operate the sliding roof control switch to open the roof halfway or more.
3. Then operate the sliding roof control switch to fully close the roof.
4. Do not release the switch for at least one second after the roof is fully closed.
