Front Stabilizer Bar: Installation

- INSTALL STABILIZER BAR FRONT
- install the stabilizer bar front to the vehicle.
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSH NO.1
- Install the bush to the outer side of the each bush stopper on stabilizer bar.
- Place the cutout of the stabilizer bush facing the rear side as shown in the illustration.
- INSTALL RACK & PINION POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL STEERING GEAR OUTLET RETURN TUBE (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH (See See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL TIE ROD ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Install the RH side following the same procedure as the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET NO.1 LH
- Install the front stabilizer bracket No. 1 LH with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 27 N*m (275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf)
- Install the front stabilizer bracket No. 1 LH with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET NO.1 RH
HINT:
Install the RH side following the same procedure as the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
- Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 74 N*m (755 kgf*cm, 55 ft.*lbf)
HINT:
Use a hexagon wrench (6 mm) to hold the stud if the ball joint turns together with the nut.
- Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with the 2 nuts.
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Install the RH side following the same procedure as the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
- BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID
HINT:
- INSPECT FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK
- INSPECT AND ADJUST STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT
- INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
