Section 68 (Air Conditioning): Condenser: Installation

  1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER BRACKET NO.2 
    1. Install the cooler condenser bracket No.2 with the bolt.

      Torque: 4.4 N*m (45 kgf*cm, 39 in.*lbf)

  2. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER BRACKET NO.1 
    1. Install the cooler condenser bracket No.1 with the bolt.

      Torque: 4.4 N*m (45 kgf*cm, 39 in.*lbf)

  3. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the cooler condenser assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 85 in.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      If the condenser is replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the new condenser.

      Capacity: 

      40 cc (1.4 fl.oz.) 

      Compressor oil: 

      ND-8 or equivalent

  4. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER 

    HINT:

  5. INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A 
    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tube and connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and pipe joint.

      Compressor oil: 

      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent 

    3. Install the O-ring to the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
    4. Connect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A to the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 47 in.*lbf) 

  6. INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE NO.1 
    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tube and connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil-to a new O-ring and hose joint.

      Compressor oil: 

      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent 

    3. Install the O-ring to the cooler refrigerant discharge hose No. 1.

    4. Connect the cooler refrigerant discharge hose No.1 to the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 47 in.*lbf) 

  7. CHARGE REFRIGERANT (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
  8. WARM UP ENGINE (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
  9. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK (See  REPLACEMENT   )
