Section 111 (Engine Control System (3MZ-FE)): ECM: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Coupe)  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE NO.1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL RH  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.
    2. Disconnect the 5 ECM connectors.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and ECM.
  9. REMOVE ECM BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket.

  10. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO.2 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket.
