On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspection procedure when using the Techstrean:
      1. Warm up the engine.
      2. Stop the engine.
      3. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
      4. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
      5. Turn the tester on.
      6. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Activate the VSV for Intake Control.
      7. Make sure that a clicking sound is heard from the intake air control valve when current flows. If the result is not as specified, replace the intake air surge tank.
