How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
Use the following procedures to troubleshoot the rear sunshade system.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
- CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTICS TROUBLE CODE OF SFI SYSTEM
- Use Techstream to check for DTC P0705.

RESULT REFERENCEResult Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC is output B
B: Go to SFI system (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A: Go to next step
- Use Techstream to check for DTC P0705.
- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Use Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
Result
RESULT REFERENCEResult Proceed to CAN DTC is not output A CAN DTC is output B
B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ( FAIL-SAFE CHART )
A: Go to next step
- Use Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Use Techstream to check if the multiplex communication system is functioning normally.
Result
RESULT REFERENCEResult Proceed to Multiplex DTC is not output A Multiplex DTC is output B
B: Go to MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ( DTC CHECK / CLEAR )
A: Go to next step
- Use Techstream to check if the multiplex communication system is functioning normally.
- PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- Refer to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
- OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING
- Terminals of ECU (See TERMINALS OF ECU ).
- REPAIR OR REPLACE
- CONFIRMATION TEST
