Front Shock Absorber With Coil Spring: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FRONT SUPPORT TO FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER NUT 
    1. Using a socket hexagon wrench 6, fix the shock absorber rod and loosen the nut.

    2. Using SST, compress the coil spring.

      SST 09727-30021 (09727-00010, 09727-00021, 09727-00031) 

      NOTE: Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage SST.
    3. Remove the nut.

  3. REMOVE FRONT UPPER COIL SPRING SEAT 
    1. Remove the upper coil spring seat with the strut mounting bearing and spring bumper from the shock absorber.
  4. REMOVE FRONT SPRING BUMPER 
    1. Remove the spring bumper from the upper coil spring seat.
  5. REMOVE FRONT UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR 
  6. REMOVE FRONT COIL SPRING 
  7. REMOVE STRUT MOUNTING BEARING 
    1. Using a brass bar and press, remove the strut mounting bearing from the upper coil spring seat.
