Fuel Pump: Disassembly
- REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE
- Disconnect the sender gauge connector from the fuel suction plate No.1.
- Unlock the fuel sender gauge and slide to remove.
- REMOVE FUEL SUB-TANK
- Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector from the fuel suction plate No.1.
- Disconnect the suction filter hose from the fuel sub-tank.
- Disconnect the 2 tubes from the tube clamps.
- Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped in tape, disconnect the 3 snap-claws from the fuel suction support No.2.NOTE: Do not damage the fuel suction plate No.2 or fuel sub-tank.
- Disconnect the fuel suction plate No.1 with the fuel filter assembly from the fuel sub-tank.
- REMOVE FUEL FILTER FROM FUEL PUMP
- Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped in tape, disconnect the 2 snap-claws from the fuel suction support.NOTE: Do not damage the fuel filter assembly or fuel suction support.
- Remove the fuel filter assembly with fuel pump from the fuel suction support.
- Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped in tape, disconnect the 2 snap-claws from the fuel suction support.
- REMOVE FUEL PUMP
- Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped in tape, disconnect the 5 snap-claws from the suction filter.NOTE: Do not damage the fuel filter assembly or suction filter.
- Remove the fuel suction filter with fuel pump from the fuel filter.
- Disconnect the fuel pump harness from the fuel pump.
- Remove the O-ring from the fuel pump.
- Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped in tape, disconnect the 5 snap-claws from the suction filter.
- REMOVE FUEL SUCTION PLATE NO.2
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 E-rings from the suction plate No.2.
- Remove the suction plate No.2 and 2 springs from the fuel suction plate No.1.
