Quarter Window Glass: Installation
- CLEAN AND SHAPE CONTACT SURFACE OF BODY
- Using a knife, cut away any rough areas on the body.
HINT:
Leave the adhesive on the body as much as possible.
- Clean the cut surface of the adhesive with a shop rag saturated in cleaner.
HINT:
Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the body.
- Using a knife, cut away any rough areas on the body.
- CLEAN CONTACT SURFACE OF NEW GLASS
- Using a cleaner, clean the contact surface around the entire glass rim.NOTE: Do not touch the glass face after cleaning it.

- INSTALL NEW DAM
- Install new dams with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.
A: 5.1 mm (0.201 in.)
B: 7.2 mm (0.283 in.)
- Install new dams with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.
- COAT CONTACT SURFACE OF BODY WITH PRIMER "M"
- Using a brush, coat Primer M to the exposed part of body on the vehicle side.NOTE:
- Let the primer coating dry for 3 minutes or more.
- Do not coat Primer M to the adhesive.
- Do not keep any of the opened Primer M for later use.
- Using a brush, coat Primer M to the exposed part of body on the vehicle side.
- COAT CONTACT SURFACE OF GLASS WITH PRIMER "G"
- Using a brush or sponge, coat the edge of the glass and the contact surface with Primer G as shown in the illustration.
- When the primer is coated wrongly to the area other than the specified, wipe it off with a clean shop rag before the primer dries.NOTE:
- Let the primer coating dry for 3 minutes or more.
- Do not keep any of the opened Primer G for later use.

- APPLY ADHESIVE
- Cut off the tip of the cartridge nozzle. Part No. 08850-00801 or equivalent.
HINT:
After cutting off the tip, use all adhesive within the time described in the table below.
ADHESIVE TIME SPECIFICATIONSTemperature Tackfree time 35°C (95°F) 15 minutes 20°C (68°F) 100 minutes 5°C (41°F) 8 hours - Load the cartridge into the sealer gun.
- Coat the glass with adhesive as shown in the illustration.
Adhesive height: 13.5 mm (0.531 in.)
Adhesive width: 8.0 mm (0.315 in.)
- Cut off the tip of the cartridge nozzle. Part No. 08850-00801 or equivalent.
- REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW GLASS
- Install the glass to the body.
- Hold the glass in place securely with a protective tape or equivalent until the adhesive hardens.NOTE: Take care not to drive the vehicle during the time described in the table below.TIME SPECIFICATIONS FOR VEHICLE DRIVING
Temperature Minimum time prior to driving the vehicle 35°C (95°F) 1.5 hours 20°C (68°F) 5 hours 5°C (41°F) 24 hours
- INSPECT FOR LEAK AND REPAIR
- Conduct a leak test after the hardening time has elapsed.
- Seal any leak with sealant.
- INSTALL REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT SHOULDER ANCHOR
- INSTALL NO.2 REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL NO.2 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT SHOULDER ANCHOR (w/Rear No. 2 Seat)
Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL QUARTER TRIM FRONT PANEL ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT FLOOR ANCHOR
Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL QUARTER TRIM UPPER HOLE COVER (w/Rear No. 2 Seat)
- INSTALL QUARTER TRIM HOLE COVER (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)
- INSTALL REAR FLOOR MAT SUPPORT PLATE
- INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING REAR TRIM
- INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING REAR TRIM COVER
- INSTALL ROOM LIGHT
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP
- INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
- INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT (w/Rear No. 2 Seat)
