Inspection Procedure

HINT:

When using the intelligent tester, start the inspection from step 1 and when not using the intelligent tester, start from step  2.

Check if DTC B1223 of the multiplex communication system is output. When the DTC is not output, proceed to the following procedures and when it is output, perform inspection (See DTC B1223 POWER WINDOW SWITCH CIRCUIT ON PASSENGER DOOR  ).

1. READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (P P/W AUTO SW AND LOCK POS SW) 
   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
   2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
   3. According to the display on the tester, read the DATA LIST.

      OK: Indication on the tester switches between ON and OFF in accordance with the window lock switch status. 

   OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  

   NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PASSENGER DOOR ECU - DRIVER DOOR ECU) 

   NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

   OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
