Fuel Injector: Removal

REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE LH COVER No. 2 (See REMOVAL )
DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
(See PRECAUTION )
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
DRAIN COOLANT (See COOLANT )
REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER CENTER (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH INLET (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE WITH RESONATOR (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK (See REMOVAL )
SEPARATE FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1
1. Remove the bolt and separate the fuel pipe No. 1 (A).
2. Remove the fuel pressure pulsation damper and the 2 gaskets (B).
3. Remove the fuel pipe No. 2 union bolt and the 2 gaskets (C).

REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the 6 fuel injector connectors.

2. Remove the 4 bolts, and then remove the 2 fuel delivery pipes together with the 6 fuel injectors.
  NOTE: Be careful not to drop the fuel injectors when removing the fuel delivery pipe.

3. Remove the 4 delivery pipe No.1 spacers (A) and the 6 insulators (B) from the intake manifold.

4. Pull out the fuel injector from the fuel delivery pipe.
5. Remove the O-ring and grommet from the fuel injector.
