Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration (See INITIALIZATION ).
- INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See
DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).

B: REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

- INSPECT MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output (See
DTC CHECK/CLEAR
).

B: REPAIR MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A: Go to Next Step
- Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output (See
DTC CHECK/CLEAR
).
- INSPECT BRAKE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on.
- Select the "ECB* WARN LAMP" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the brake control warning light by the intelligent tester.
ABS / VSC / TRAC:
ITEM NORMAL CONDITION CHARTItem (Display) Vehicle Condition/ Test Details Diagnostic Note ECB(1) WARN LAMP Turns brake control warning light ON/OFF Observe combination meter (1) Electronically Controlled Brake - Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the brake control warning lights are indicated on the combination meter when using the intelligent tester.
OK:
The brake control warning lights turn on or off in accordance with the operation using the intelligent tester.
HINT:
If troubleshooting has been carried out , refer and proceed to the next step before replacing the part PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
NG: Go to step 4
OK: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU

- Check the combination meter assembly (See
