Front Stabilizer Bar: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in Fig 1 before installing the nut.
    2. Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 2 to 4 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the fifth turn.

      Torque: 0.05 to 1.96 N*m (0.5 to 20 kgf*cm, 0.4 to 17.4 in.*lbf) 

    3. Check the dust cover for cracks or grease leakage. If the value is not within the specified range, replace the front stabilizer link with a new one.
