Rear Side Window Glass: Removal

HINT:

  1. REMOVE ACCESS PANEL REAR WEATHERSTRIP 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side (See DISASSEMBLY ).

  2. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side (See DISASSEMBLY ).

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side (See DISASSEMBLY ).

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 CUP HOLDER 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side (see DISASSEMBLY ).

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side (See DISASSEMBLY ).

  6. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side (See DISASSEMBLY ).

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side (see DISASSEMBLY ).

  8. REMOVE ACCESS DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side (see REMOVAL ).

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS 
    1. Apply protective tape to the outer circumference of the rear door glass.
    2. From the interior, insert piano wires between the vehicle body and rear door glass.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to all wire ends.
      NOTE: When separating the rear door glass from the vehicle, do not damage the vehicle's paint work or exterior/interior ornaments.
    4. Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the rear door glass.
