Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Remove the unlock warning switch assy.
    2. Measure the resistance of the unlock warning switch assy continuity.

      Standard: 

      RESISTANCE CHECK SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      1 - 2 Pushed Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH - INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B) 
    1. Disconnect the unlock warning switch assy and instrument panel J/B connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance of the continuity between the terminals of the unlock warning switch assy and instrument panel J/B connectors, as shown in the illustration and table.

      Standard (Check for open): 

      RESISTANCE CHECK SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Symbols (Terminal No.) (Unlock warning switch - Instrument panel J/B) Specified Condition
      (U1-2) - KSW (IJ-8) Below 1 Ω
      (U1-1) - Body ground

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY (DRIVER'S SIDE) 
    1. Remove the courtesy lamp switch.
    2. Measure the resistance of the courtesy lamp switch continuity.

      Standard: 

      RESISTANCE CHECK SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      1 - Body ground Not pushed Below 1 Ω
      1 - Body ground Pushed 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY [DRIVER'S SIDE] - INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B) 
    1. Disconnect the courtesy lamp switch and instrument panel J/B connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance of between the terminals of the courtesy lamp switch and instrument panel J/B connectors, as shown in the illustration and table.

      Standard (Check for open): 

      RESISTANCE CHECK SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Symbols (Terminal No.) (Courtesy lamp switch - Instrument panel J/B) Specified Condition
      (D4-1) - DCTY (ID-1) Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

      REPLACE INTEGRATION RELAY
