Front Shock Absorber With Coil Spring: Removal
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
- SEPARATE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the nut and disconnect the front stabilizer link assembly LH from the shock absorber assembly front LH.
HINT:
Use a hexagon (6 mm) wrench to hold the stud if the ball joint turns together with the nut.
- Remove the nut and disconnect the front stabilizer link assembly LH from the shock absorber assembly front LH.
- REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING
- Loosen the lock nut.
HINT:
If not disassembling the shock absorber it is not necessary to loosen the nut.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the front flexible hose No. 1 and speed sensor front LH wire harness.
- Remove the 2 nuts on the lower side of the front shock absorber with coil spring.NOTE: Keep the bolts inserted.
- Remove the 3 nuts on the upper side of the front shock absorber with coil spring.
- Remove the 2 bolts on the lower side of the front shock absorber and front shock absorber with coil spring.NOTE: Be careful not to drop the collar in the case that there is front suspension upper brace center.
- Loosen the lock nut.
