Rear Wheel Alignment: Adjustment

  1. INSPECT TIRE 
  2. MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT 
    NOTE: Before inspecting the wheel alignment, adjust the vehicle height to the specified valve.
  3. INSPECT TOE-IN 
    1. Inspect the toe-in.

      Toe-in 

      TIRE SIZE SPECIFICATION (2WD DRIVE TYPE)

      2WD DRIVE TYPE Tire size Toe-in (total)
      215/65R 16 A + B: 0°15' +- 17' (0.25° +- 0.28°)
      C - D: 2.7 +- 3.0 mm (0.11 +- 0.12 in.)
      225/60R 17 A + B: 0°15' +- 17' (0.25° +- 0.28°)
      C - D: 2.8 +- 3.0 mm (0.11 +- 0.12 in.)
      TIRE SIZE SPECIFICATION (4WD DRIVE TYPE)

      4WD DRIVE TYPE Tire size Toe-in (total)
      225/60R 17 A + B: 0°07' +- 17' (0.12° +- 0.28°)
      C - D: 1.3 +- 3.0 mm (0.05 +- 0.12 in.)

      If the toe-in is not within the specified value, inspect the suspension parts and replace them if necessary.

  4. INSPECT CAMBER 
    1. Install the camber-caster-kingpin gauge or position the vehicle on the wheel alignment tester.
    2. Inspect the camber.

      Camber 

      CAMBER SPECIFICATION

      2WD DRIVE TYPE: Camber Right-left error 4WD DRIVE TYPE: Camber Right-left error
      -1°22' +- 30' (-1.37° +- 0.5°) 30' (0.5°) or less -1°25' +- 30' (-1.42° +- 0.5°) 30' (0.5°) or less

      If the measured valve is not within the specified value, inspect the suspension parts for damage and / or wear and replace them if necessary because camber is not adjustable.
