Front Side Speaker: Removal

- REMOVE FRONT DOOR PULL HANDLE LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window) (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE UPPER FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL LH (w/o Power Window) (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window) (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER
- Disconnect the connector.
- Using a drill of less than diameter 4 mm (0.16 in.), drill out the 3 rivet heads and remove the front No. 1 speaker from the front door panel.
- Gently and vertically put the drill to the rivet, and cut the rivet flanges.NOTE:
- Prizing the hole with a drill can lead to damage to the rivet hole or breaking the drill.
- Take cafe as the cut rivet is hot.
- Even if flange is taken off, continue drilling and push out remaining fragments with the drill.
- Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the drilled rivet and their dust from the inside of the front door panel.
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the 2 nuts and front No. 2 speaker from the front door panel.
