Instrument Panel Safety Pad: Installation

INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX
INSTALL CENTER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
INSTALL CENTER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
1. Install the center No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel with the 2 claws.
INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
2. Install the wire harness 4 clamps.
3. Install the 7 bolts < B > or < C >, < D > and 4 screws < E >, < F >.
4. Install the 4 clips.
5. Connect the hood lock control cable and DLC3 connector.

INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Install the upper instrument panel sub-assembly.
3. Install the 3 clips and 9 claws.
4. Install the 3 screws < E > and bolt < A >.

INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
HINT:

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
1. Install the front pillar garnish LH with the 3 clips and 2 claws.
INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the instrument cluster finish panel subassembly.

2. Install the 4 clips and 2 claws.

INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
1. Install the combination meter assembly, then connect the connector as shown in the illustration.
2. Install the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

3. Install the screw < E >.

INSTALL METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the meter hood sub-assembly with the 5 claws and 3 clips.
CONNECT PASSENGER AIRBAG CONNECTOR
INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
1. Install the glove compartment door assembly.

2. Deform the upper part of the glove compartment door assembly to install the stoppers.

INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the glove compartment door stopper subassembly with the screw < G >.
2. Close the glove compartment door.
INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
1. Install the cowl side trim board RH with the 2 claws.

2. Install the cowl side trim clip.
INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
1. Install the front door scuff plate RH with the claws.

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL
1. Install lower center instrument panel finish panel with the claws.
  HINT:
  
  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. A/T Transaxle: Install the 5 screws < E >.
3. M/T Transaxle: Install the 3 screws < E >.
  HINT:
  
  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX
1. Install the instrument panel box.

2. Close the instrument panel box.
INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY
INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Install the CTR instrument cluster finish panel assembly with the 2 clips and 7 claws.
3. Install the screw < E >.

4. Install the control knob.

5. Power point socket models only: Install the switch base with the 5 claws.
INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)
1. Install the shift lever knob sub-assembly and turn the shift lever sub-assembly clockwise.
INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/o Navigation System)
INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the center instrument cluster finish panel subassembly, and connect connector.

2. Install the 4 clips and 3 claws.
