Front Door Lock: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Apply battery voltage and inspect the door lock motor operation, as shown in the illustration and table.

      Standard 

      MEASURING AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Measuring condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 4
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal
      1 Lock
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal
      4 Unlock

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE (1 OF 2)

      Terminal No. Door Lock Position Specified Condition
      7 - 9 Lock Below 1 Ω
      - OFF -
      7 - 10 Unlock Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE (2 OF 2)

      Terminal No. Door Lock Position Specified Condition
      7 - 8 Lock Below 1 Ω
      - OFF -
      7 - 9 Unlock Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Apply battery voltage and inspect the door lock motor operation, as shown in the illustration and table.

      Standard 

      MEASURING AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Measuring condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 4
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 1
      Lock
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 4
      Unlock

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE (1 OF 2)

      Terminal No. Door Lock Position Specified Condition
      6 - 8 Lock Below 1 Ω
      - OFF -
      5 - 8 Unlock Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE (2 OF 2)

      Terminal No. Door Lock Position Specified Condition
      7 - 8 Lock 10 kΩ or higher
      - OFF -
      7 - 8 Unlock Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
