Inspection Procedure

1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the door courtesy switch.
   BODY ECU DATA LIST
   
   

   Item	Measurement Item / Display (Range)	Normal Condition	Diagnostic Note
   D COURTESY SW	Door courtesy switch signal / ON or OFF	ON: Door is open OFF: Door is closed	-

   OK: 

   "ON" (door is open) appears on the screen. 

NG: Go to step 2 

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  

1. Remove the courtesy switch.

2. Measure the resistance of the switch.
   RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   1 - Body ground	Not Pushed (ON)	Below 1
   1 - Body ground	Pushed (OFF)	10 k or higher

NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH 

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Disconnect the D8 and L5 connectors.
2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
   RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   D8-14 - K4-1	Always	Below 1

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
