Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (B VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the P14 power window regulator switch connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Measure the voltage.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P14-4 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
    4. Reconnect the power window regulator switch connector.

    • NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE J/B ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH) 
    • OK : Go to next step. 
  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (SWITCH OPERATION) 
    1. Remove the power window regulator switch.
    2. Disconnect the P14 power window regulator switch connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the connector when the switch is operated.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Regulator Switch Specified Condition
      P14-1 (D) - P14-2 (SD) P14-3 (U) - P14-4 (B) UP Below 1Ω
      P14-1 (D) - P14-2 (SD) P14-3 (U) -P14-5 (SU) OFF Below 1Ω
      P14-1 (D) - P14-4 (B) P14-3 (U) - P14-5 (SU) DOWN Below 1Ω
    4. Reconnect the power window regulator switch connector.
    5. Reinstall the power window regulator switch.
    • NG : REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY 
    • OK : Go to next step. 
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P14 power window regulator switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the P11 power window regulator motor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P14-1 (D) - P11-1 Below 1Ω
      P14-3 (U) - P11-2 Below 1Ω
      P14-1 (D) - Body ground 10Ω k or higher
      P14-3 (U) - Body around 10Ω k or higher
    4. Reconnect the power window regulator switch connector.
    5. Reconnect the power window regulator motor connector.
    • NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    • OK : Go to next step. 
  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH 
    1. Remove the power window regulator motor.
    2. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
    3. Check that the motor smoothly rotates.
      NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.

      OK: 

      TERMINAL NUMBER AND SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) --> 1 Battery negative (-) --> 2 Motor gear rotates clockwise
      Battery positive (+) --> 2 Battery negative (-) --> 1 Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
    4. Reinstall the power window regulator motor.
    • NG : REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH 
    • OK : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY)
