Inspection Procedure
- INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY
- Remove the key unlock warning switch.
- Measure the resistance of the key unlock warning switch.
KEY UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH TERMINALS RESISTANCETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Not Pushed 10 kΩ or higher 1 - 2 Pushed Below 1 Ω - NG: REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH - INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B)
- Disconnect the U1 unlock warning switch and 1J instrument panel J/B connectors.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION (CHECK FOR OPEN)Tester Connection Specified Condition 2(U1-2)-KSW(IJ-8) Below 1 Ω 1 (U 1-1) -Body ground Below 1 Ω - NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY (DRIVER'S SIDE)

- Remove the courtesy lamp switch.
- Inspect the courtesy lamp switch continuity, as shown in the illustration and table.
COURTESY LAMP SWITCH TERMINALS CONTINUITYTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 -Body ground Free Below 1 Ω 1 -Body ground Push 10 kΩ or higher - NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH [DRIVER'S SIDE] - INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B)
- Disconnect the D7 courtesy lamp switch and 2D instrument panel J/B connectors.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
