Circuit Description
The throttle actuator is operated by the Engine Control Module (ECM), and opens and closes the throttle valve using gears. The opening angle of the throttle valve is detected by the Throttle Position (TP) sensor which is mounted on the throttle body. The TP sensor provides feedback to the ECM to control the throttle actuator, in order to control the throttle valve opening angle properly in response to the driving conditions. If this DTC is stored, the ECM shuts down the power to the throttle motor and the magnetic clutch, and the throttle valve is fully closed by the return spring. However, the opening angle of the throttle valve can be controlled by the accelerator pedal through the throttle cable.
