Inspection Procedure

Read current DTC.

PREPARATION:

Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the hand-held tester ON.
Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / DTC INFO / CURRENT CODES.

CHECK:

Read DTCs.

RESULT:

DTC OUTPUT RESULT TABLE

Display (DTC output)	Proceed To
P0630	A
P0630 and other DTCs	B

NOTE: If P0630 is present, the VIN must be input to the ECM using the hand-held tester. However, all DTCs are cleared automatically when the VIN is input. If any DTCs other than P0630 are present, troubleshoot them first.

B: Go to DTC chart (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).
A: Go to next step.

Input VIN using the hand-held tester (See PRE-CHECK ).
