Inspection Procedure

PREPARATION: 

1. Remove the ECM but do not disconnect the connectors.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

CHECK: 

Measure the voltage between terminal PI of the ECM connector and the body ground when the main switch is ON and OFF.

OK: 

• OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ). 
• NG: Go to next step. 

• NG: Replace combination meter. 
• OK: Check and replace ECM (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
