Inspection Procedure

  1. Check RAD NO. 2, ECU-IG and ECU-B fuses. 

    CHECK: 

    Check the resistance of RAD NO. 2, ECU-IG and ECU-B fuses.

    OK: 

    Below 1 Ω 

    1. NG: Replace failure fuse. 
    2. OK: Go to next step 
  2. Check voltage between terminals ACC, IG, BECU or BDR and GND of body ECU connector. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Turn the ignition switch ON.

    CHECK: 

    Measure voltage between terminals ACC or IG of the ECU connector and body ground.

    OK: 

    Voltage: 10 to 14 V 

    PREPARATION: 

    Turn the ignition switch OFF.

    CHECK: 

    Measure voltage between terminals BECU or BDR of the ECU connector and body ground.

    OK: 

    Voltage: 10 to 14 V 

    1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   . 
    2. NG: Go to next step 
  3. Check wire harness and connector between body ECU and body ground (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness and connector. 
    2. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   .
