SFI System (2RZ-FE, 3RZ-FE): Injector: Installation

INSTALL INJECTORS TO DELIVERY PIPE
1. Install a new grommet to each injector.
2. Apply a light coat of gasoline to the new O-ring and install them to the injector.
3. While turning the injector left and right, install it to the delivery pipe. Install the 4 injectors.
4. Position the injector connector upward.

INSTALL INJECTORS AND DELIVERY PIPE
1. Place the 4 new insulators and in position on the spacers.
2. Place the 4 injectors together with the delivery pipe in position on the cylinder head.
3. Temporarily install the 2 bolts holding the delivery pipe to the cylinder head.

4. Check that the injectors rotate smoothly.
  HINT:
  
  If injectors do not rotate smoothly, the probable cause is incorrect installation of O-rings. Replace the O-rings.
5. Position the injector connector upward.
6. Tighten the 2 bolts holding the delivery pipe to the cylinder head.
  Torque: 21 N.m (210 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
7. Connect the fuel inlet pipe to the delivery pipe with 2 new gaskets and the union bolt.
  Torque: 29 N.m (300 kgf.cm, 22 ft.lbf)
8. Connect the fuel return hose to the fuel pressure regulator.
9. Connect the vacuum sensing hose to the fuel pressure regulator.

INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE WITH RESONATOR AND INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR (See INSTALLATION )
