Quarter Window Glass: Removal

  1. w/Rear No. 2 seat: 

    REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT 

  2. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear door scuff plate.
    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 
  5. REMOVE DOME LIGHT 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.
      NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. Remove the 2 screws and dome light, then disconnect the connector.

  6. REMOVE REAR TRIM COVER 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the rear trim cover.

    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE REAR TRIM 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the rear trim.

    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  9. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT SUPPORT PLATE 
  10. w/o Rear No. 2 seat: 

    REMOVE QUARTER TRIM HOLE COVER 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the quarter trim hole cover.

    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  11. w/ Rear No. 2 seat: 

    REMOVE QUARTER TRIM UPPER BELT HOLE COVER 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the quarter trim upper belt hole cover.

    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  13. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL 
    1. w/o Tonneau cover:

      Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 No. 1 tonneau cover holder caps.

      NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. Remove the 2 package holder net hooks.
    3. Remove the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor.

    5. Remove the 3 bolts, clip and quarter trim panel, then disconnect the connector.
  14. w/Rear No. 2 seat: 

    REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT SHOULDER ANCHOR 

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH 

    Remove the 2 clips and No. 2 rear window side garnish.

  16. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT SHOULDER ANCHOR 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the anchor cap.
      NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. Remove the rear No. 1 seat outer belt shoulder anchor.
  17. REMOVE REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH 

    Remove the rear window side garnish.

  18. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW GLASS 
    1. w/ Glass antenna:

      Disconnect the connectors from the glass antenna terminals.

    2. Push a piano wire through from the interior.
    3. Tie both wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects.
      NOTE: Apply protective tape to the outer surface to keep the surface from being scratched.
      NOTE: When separating the glass, take care not to damage the paint and interior.

    4. Cut the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around it.
      NOTE: Cut the adhesive areas as shown in the illustration, leaving the adhesive where the clips are.

    5. Push the piano wire through as shown in the illustration, cut off the adhered part to the clips.

    6. Remove the glass.
    NOTE: Leave as much of the adhesive on the body as possible when cutting off the glass.
