Abs & VSC Actuator: Removal

  1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID 
    NOTE: Wash the brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surface.
  2. DISCONNECT BRAKE LINES 
    1. Using SST(s), disconnect the 6 brake tubes from the actuator with bracket.

      SST 09023-00100

      Torque: 15 N.m (155 kgf.cm, 11 ft.lbf) 

    2. Use tags or make memo to identify the places for reconnect.

  3. REMOVE VSC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Pull the lock lever upward.
    2. Disconnect the actuator connector.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and actuator from the actuator with bracket.

      Torque: 19 N.m (194 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)

      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes.
  4. REMOVE VSC ACTUATOR 

    Remove the 2 nuts and actuator from the actuator bracket.

    Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48in.lbf) 

  5. REMOVE 2 CUSHION BOLTS AND 2 CUSHIONS
