Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Toyota Sequoia. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
  • When removing the part, turn the ignition switch OFF.
  • When replacing steering angle, master cylinder pressure, yaw rate, deceleration sensors or/and the ECU, make sure to perform steering angle, master cylinder pressure, yaw rate, deceleration sensors zero point calibration. See step  6 under PRE-CHECK.
  • Zero point calibration is needed not only when replacing the VSC related parts, but also when replacing or repairing the steering related parts and when changing the vehicle's straight-ahead condition for toe adjustment.
NOTE:
  • Using SST 09843-18040, connect the terminals TC and CG. See Figure.
  • If an abnormality is not found when inspecting parts, inspect the ECU.
  • If a malfunction code is displayed during the DTC check, check the circuit listed for that code. For details of each code, see DTC test for respective "DTC No." in the DTC chart. See Fig 1.

For DTC chart of ABS system  , see ABS SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC) REFERENCE .
