Automatic Light Control Sensor

  1. Auto On Function -  Turn the ignition switch ON. Turn the light control switch to AUTO. Gradually cover the top of the sensor. Check that the accessory lights and headlights turn ON.
  2. Auto Off Function -  Gradually expose the sensor. Check that the headlights and accessory lights turn OFF.
  3. Lights-Off Condition - 
    • Turn the ignition switch ON.
    • Lights auto ON: Gradually cover the top of the sensor.
    • Verify that the lights will go out when the light control switch position is OFF or the area surrounding the sensor gets bright or when opening the driver's door while the ignition switch is OFF.
  4. Lights-On Condition - 
    • Open the driver's door while the ignition switch is OFF.
    • Turn the light control switch to AUTO leaving the door open and cover the top of the sensor, and verify that the lights go on when the ignition switch is turned ON.
