Removal (Front Doors)

  1. Using screwdriver with tape applied to tip, pry up and remove inside door handle bezel cover. Remove inside door handle bezel screw. Using screwdriver with tape applied to tip, pry at rear corners and remove door handle bezel. Remove courtesy light. Remove power window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH .
  2. Remove 2 caps from upper front of door trim panel. Remove 6 screws and 2 clips from door trim panel. Remove interior door trim panel by pulling upward. Remove inner weatherstrip from door trim panel. Remove 10 screws and door armrest from trim panel. Remove 8 screws and trim pocket from door trim panel.
  3. Using screwdriver with tape applied to tip, remove lower frame bracket garnish. See Fig 1. Remove outside rearview mirror. Remove door speaker board.
  4. Remove screw from inside door handle and slide handle backward to remove. Disconnect both door lock control cables from inside door handle by pivoting handle away from cables. See Fig 2. Using a clip remover, remove grommets from service hole cover and carefully remove service hole cover without tearing it.

  5. Using a clip remover, remove top clip from front door weatherstrip. Remove screw from door check. Using a clip remover, remove retaining clip from door weatherstrip. Reinstall screw in door check. Apply protective tape to upper outside edge of door, at window opening, and remove outer belt moulding from door using a moulding remover.
  6. Using a drill bit smaller than 0.126" (3.2 mm), drill out 3 rivet heads of outside lower moulding at bottom inside edge of door. Using a clip remover, remove clip and outside lower moulding. Using a shop vac, remove rivet remnants and metallic dust from inside door panel.
  7. Remove window regulator connector clamp, 3 screws and No. 2 service hole cover. Lower window glass until bolts appear in service hole and remove bolts. Pull window glass up and remove. Remove door glass run. Disconnect electrical harness connector from power window regulator assembly.
  8. Remove bolt and 3 nuts retaining power window regulator assembly. Remove regulator assembly through service hole. Remove bolts and separate power window motor from power window regulator assembly.
