Section 983 (Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION System): Valve: Installation

  1. Install the 2 mounting bolts into the EGR valve and gasket (Figure ).
  2. Loose install the EGR valve to cylinder head.
  3. Loose install the EGR tube to EGR valve (Figure ).
  4. Tighten bolts for EGR valve then the EGR tube.
  5. Connect and lock the electrical connector for the EGR valve (Figure ).
  6. Install the battery.
  7. Connect the positive then the negative battery cable.
