Section 503 (Engine Cooling System): Thermostat: Installation

PLACE THERMOSTAT IN CYLINDER BLOCK
1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.
2. Install the thermostat with the jiggle valve upward.
  HINT:
  
  The jiggle valve may be set within 10° of either side of the prescribed position.

INSTALL WATER INLET
Install the water inlet with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 9.0 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf)
INSTALL GENERATOR (See GENERATOR )
INSTALL DRIVE BELT (See ON-VEHICLE TESTING )
FILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )
START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR LEAKS
RECHECK ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL
