Inspection Procedure

Check SMT warning light.
Refer to the troubleshooting for the combination meter in INSPECTION .
1. NG: Replace bulb or repair combination meter assembly.
2. OK: Go to next step
Check for short in connectors and wire harness between combination meter and ECM ( PROCEDURE ).
1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness and connector.
2. OK: Go to next step
Check ECM power source circuit ( ECM Power Source Circuit ).
1. NG: Replace ECM.
2. OK: Go to next step
Check for short in connectors and wire harness between ECM and transmission control ECU ( PROCEDURE ).
1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness and connector.
2. OK: Replace transmission control ECU ( PROCEDURE ).
